When I get a booking for a headshot session I get pretty excited! My approach to headshots is not just crossed arms and big smiles or serious faces. I think of this type of session as exploring who my client is, what they love about what they do and try to bring that energy out in your photos we create together. Sometimes that does mean being serious, but often when working with me it means having fun, being silly and be warned that if you wear tassels to a shoot with me I will make you spin around in them 🙂
Meet Rachel, she runs Body Exchange Tri-Cities in which offers fitness classes, personal training and adventures to a plus size clientele in a fun and professional way. One thing I found out about Rachel quickly is that she has amazing energy (and eyes!) and she has a great sense of humour as well is very fun! I think she would be a wonderful person to start fitness training with, as I am sure she provides a safe space that keeps women comfortable, motivated and inspired!
When I asked Rachel what she loves most about what she does she answered with this:
“I have at least something in common with all of the women’s lives I touch. Watching them improve not just their fitness but their self confidence and enjoyment of moving is where I get my reward. Working with people who are looking to improve their lives can only be a good thing. I have always enjoyed helping people to feel good about themselves. I love what I do and do what I love!”
Here are a few of my favourite shots from our shoot! Thanks again Rachel for having me as your photographer.
