Putting yourself out there as a photographer is hard. You never know who is listening and if your marketing efforts are actually paying off, until you book awesome clients like Susan and Rick! These two are so lovely and kind and were great sports when I suggested that we take advantage of the snowy winter we have been having in the Lower Mainland and do a snowy engagement session!
The session was done at Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby. It was perfect – quintessential West Coast, with the ocean, trees and even a tugboat went by which couldn’t have been more perfect as this amazing couple loves boats, water, beaches (basically anything water related!) Rick works as a ships officer, and Susan’s mom’s favourite boat is a tug, so they always get excited when they see one. What better backdrop for a photo session that celebrates love.
Susan and Rick met online and have been together for just over 2 years. Their first date was at Ambleside where they had hot chocolate and went for a walk along the seawall. I didn’t know that fun fact, but since it was a wintery day for this session, I had brought them some hot chocolate to warm them up, and it made a fun element to the shoot!
They cannot wait to celebrate their special day with all of their family and friends. The wedding is April 22, 2017 and I am so excited to see what fun surprises they’ve got up their sleeves!
