September 12th in New Westminster Anja and Leo got married and what a special wedding it was. These two are just so sweet and they love to laugh!
When I got to the location that Anja was getting ready at it was great to see Juli Spearing who runs Quaint Hair Designs, who is a fabulous hair stylist that I have worked with in the past and will be working with more in the future. Watch this space for some fun things to come between Juli and I in 2016!
Anja was such a laid back bride, or she hid her pre wedding jitters really well. I loved her spirit too, she’s an only child and was pretty excited to be having her big day that she always dreamed of. Anja had her two close friends, who also happened to be sisters, there with her while getting ready, and they did a great job of keeping the lovely bride Anja well fuelled with coffee and chocolate. Anja had lovely details for her wedding day, my favourite being the earrings she wore that she said were over 90 years old and had belonged to her grandmother.
The wedding took place at Saint Peters church in New Westminster, and was my first time to shoot in one so that was both exciting and posed a new challenge. I adored the stained glass windows in the church!
Leo was excited to see his lovely bride walk down the aisle and the two of them looked over the moon when united and joined by the priest as a newly married couple. We headed to their reception location, Glenbrook Park, New Westminster (which is such a great hidden gem!) for their portraits and family photos.
